On the canopy of the Fremont Street Experience

The Arts Commission partnered with Creative Time to produce the Arts Commission's most recent Lightscapes, "Sky is the Limit" by artist Haluk Akakce, for the Fremont Street Experience canopy.

Lightscapes is a public art program of the Las Vegas Arts Commission produced in partnership with the Fremont Street Experience that presents epic scale animated features in downtown Las Vegas on the Fremont Street's Viva Vision screen. These 5 – 7 minute video projects explore the visual and sound possibilities of this 4-block long 90' high video screen and are shown for thirty days from their premiere. Since 2000, four Lightscapes shows have been completed; Aria, by Jennifer Steinkamp, continues to be included into the Fremont Street Experience schedule of shows, with Sky is the Limit by Haluk Akakce, by special request.
