City of Las Vegas Circle Park

The Las Vegas Veterans Memorial Association has pledged $800,000 for the creation of an artist-designed Las Vegas Veterans Memorial to be located in Huntridge Circle Park. The project will be realized through fundraising efforts by the Veterans Memorial Association. Working with assistance from the City of Las Vegas Arts Commission, four candidates were selected through a national and international call for proposals. The finalists are Joan Benefiel; Douwe Blumberg; Daub & Firmin; and Cliff Garten, who are working with the Las Vegas Veterans Memorial Association to develop and present their final proposals. Models of the artist's designs will be on display at various city facilities over the summer, with final selection to be announced later this year.
